About Leapfrogs

Leapfrogs are our youngest group (ages 3-5), leapfrogs are still based within the Sport North East venues and booked the same way, however as these children are younger, we follow the Early Years Framework, meaning we have a different layout to our day. The ‘sport’ name doesn’t fit as well with this group because we do a lot more than just sport; so we have decided to use a different name for our youngest group, one that fits a lot better… Leapfrogs! 

• Leapfrogs do less sport and more creative, social and musical activities (still with a sport session a day too!). 
• Leapfrogs come home with a daily diary, telling you a bit about their day, their behaviour and how much they ate at lunch. 
• Leapfrogs do ‘Star of the Day’ every day, whereas Sport North East do ‘Star of the Week’ on a Friday of each week. 
• The staff working in Leapfrogs are Early Years qualified, to ensure the children are receiving the highest quality provision for their age.

Leapfrogs, just like Sport North East, operates across two venues, Dame Allan's Junior School in Newcastle, and Newcastle Preparatory School in Jesmond. With us, children have the chance to learn new skills, try new activities and make friends. Alongside one sport session, our 3-5-year-olds partake in creative, musical and social development activities!

We pride ourselves on how much children enjoy their experience at camp. We offer a great range of activities and are always open to adding more variation, providing your child with a unique experience that can often be tailored to meet their needs.

Our staff are specially selected – with unique skills and experiences, allowing the best provision possible.  All of our staff exude enthusiasm and are fully committed to ensuring that your child has the best possible time on camp – in a safe, structured environment.
