Meet our SportNE team here: (photos coming soon!)

Head Coach – Emily

“Hi, I’m Emily, and I work as head of camp at SportNE. During term time I work as a P.E teacher in schools all over the North East, specialising in dance. I am a qualified dance teacher and spend my weekends and evenings teaching at a local dance school. I have a Level 4 qualification in Professional Dance and I’m currently studying towards a degree. I also have qualifications in safeguarding, child protection, first aid and administering medicine. My favourite sports are dance and gymnastics, I enjoy going to see ballets and musicals.”

Lead Coach – Elliott

“Hi, I’m Elliott and I’m the lead coach at SportNE. I have a master’s degree in international sport management as well as a bachelor’s degree in sport science, where I worked with both amateur and high level athletes in a wide range of sports. I’ve previously played high level rugby league and union, which I continue to play today. I have been coaching a range of sports and physical education for a number for years as well as being a strength and conditioning coach for teams and athletes and currently work in a secondary school as part of the sports staff. Massive Sunderland A.F.C. fan (to the dislike of most of the kids at camp).”

I am a qualified rugby coach, and I coach both club and county level in the girls scheme. Also I have played up to national level and was first team captain of my uni team last year. I also referee senior rugby games most weeks in between my studies.”
